From time to time while running, I would think about how to write what I am doing in my life, and in my head I would also write entire articles.
This is one of the things I enjoy about running, it makes you dream because you are simply bored. At least, this is how I often feel when I am out hitting the road with low cadence. Unfortunately, once home, I never followed up on the brilliant ideas I had.
This "fantasising" has been going on for some years now, and I have finally decided to follow up on these drafts and blog ideas I have been storing in my "Notizen" app.
Another reason, perhaps the main one, why I am only sharing my ideas now is that I honestly believe I don’t have anything interesting to share, yet I want to keep this a bit more personal than a professional portfolio, while still presenting some of my very „professional“ projects.
On these static html files I will (or at least try to) present some of the work I have done privately and at uni, document my journey as a hobby runner and my learning process on some new — unrelated to ai — stuff such as ui/ux and iot, that I hope to (re)learn and use more in my practical life.
The topics in this space will be related to data science, mostly nlp. I will dive into some of the concepts that I used in my projects. By trying to explain them at a high level, I intend to understand them fully. Maybe I will also share my thoughts or impressions about some specific ai topics if I believe I understand them well enough to write about.
Therefore, the whole idea is to centralise my thoughts and projects into one place, where I decide how to shape things. The goal is to keep everything clean and simple with some minimalistic design and try to provide some kind of value. I will use this blog as a playground for ux, writing and a bit of coding. As you may have already noticed, I suck at writing and english is not my native language either, however I intend to use as little ai as possible.
As I said, I have an old list of blog ideas that I am now willing to bring to life. I will publish some articles from that list in the next weeks/months, and give a first update about my running progress soon.
What about the stack?
- An index.html and index.css file, and some js code.
- Self-hosting on Ubuntu with Caddy.
- No analytics, and any other data collection that I can control. The domain has been added on the Google Search Console.
- Regarding SEO: I added the robots.txt file. I will return 404 http response for "not found" resources.
